Season 1
Rules
The format
3v3 survival. Each crew names 3 players in a fixed order: Seat 1, Seat 2, Anchor. They play in that order. Two players fight; the loser is out of the match entirely and their crew sends the next seat. The winner stays in.
A match ends when one crew runs out of players. The margin is how many were left standing, and that margin is what breaks ties in the table. A 3–0 is worth more than a 3–2, even though both are one win.
A crew is 3 to 5 players: 3 play, and you may carry up to 2 subs. Running without subs is allowed and is the crew’s risk to take. If somebody can’t make it, you play short. Any 3 of the roster may be named, and the order can differ between the two matches on a night. No changes once a match has begun.
Lineup order is submitted blind and both orders reveal at the same moment. Where you put your anchor is a real decision, and you make it without seeing theirs.
- Set length
- First to 2 games in the regular season, first to 3 in the playoffs.
- Game settings
- Best of 3 rounds, 99-second timer, default damage.
- Controls
- Classic and Modern are both legal.
- Winner's character
- Locked. A player who survives a set must keep the character they won with.
- Incoming character
- Free pick, chosen knowing who they are facing. The counterpick is what the losing crew gets for losing.
- Re-entry
- None. An eliminated player is out of that match.
- Stage
- Random.
Match night
2 matches a night against different opponents. Times are relative to first bell.
- −60Check-in opens
Checking in is submitting your lineup. The captain confirms the crew's order, on the site or with /checkin in Discord. Nothing is revealed yet, so checking in early costs you nothing.
- −15Check-in closes
A crew that has not named a lineup has not turned up, and the grace clocks below start against them.
- 0:00First bell
Both lineups reveal at once, not when the second crew checks in. Revealing then would lock both orders up to an hour early. Room codes go out in the match channel.
- +10Seat grace expires
A player who is not there forfeits their seat. It counts as one elimination and the match continues.
- +15Team grace expires
A crew that has nobody forfeits the match.
- +30 after the matchResults due
Both captains report. Matching reports finalise it; different ones open a dispute.
Standings
3 points for a win, 1 for a match you play and lose, 2 for a bye, 0 for a forfeit. Turning up and losing is worth more than not turning up.
Ties break on head-to-head first, then player differential, then sets won. Differential is every player you had left standing across the season, minus every one your opponents had left standing against you.
Rosters
- Size

- No player may appear on two rosters in a season.

- Playoff eligibility
- A player must have appeared in at least 1 regular-season match to play in the bracket.
- Region
- North America: US, Canada, Mexico.
- Rank
- No cap. Fully open.
Results and disputes
Both captains report within 30 minutes of the match ending. Matching reports finalise it. Different ones open a dispute automatically and hold that match out of the standings until it is settled.
Evidence is the replay code. Unconfirmed after 24 hours, an admin rules on whatever evidence exists, and admin rulings are final.
Disconnects. The first disconnect in a set is replayed from the start with the same characters. Completed games stand. After that, a player who disconnects during a game loses that game.
One is a bad night. Two in the same set is a pattern, and nobody has to judge whether it was deliberate. If a genuine connection problem costs somebody a game, an admin can put it right afterwards.
Bad connections. A disconnect is a fact; a bad connection is a judgement. Play the set out. If it is genuinely unplayable the two captains may agree to replay a game, and if they cannot agree an admin decides.
3 forfeits and a crew is removed from the season.
Playoffs
The top 4 crews in the table make the bracket. If 16 or more crews register, the top 8 make it instead.
Double elimination: you are out after two losses. Every set is first to 3. In an 8-crew bracket the top 4 seeds start in the winners side and the bottom 4 start in losers, one defeat from elimination. In a 4-crew bracket everybody starts even.
The bracket fills in once the regular season is done.
